Coaches
We are incredibly lucky and thankful for our tireless and patient coaching staff. Each have their own swimming history and bring passion to the team and each of our swimmers. Our coaches alternate and share reponsibilty across ages on the team to support all our swimmers as they demonstrate teamwork and collaboration.
Aquila grew up in Greensboro and swam competitively from 9 years old until end of college so officially a "swammer", but hopes to get back into the water more often. She has previously coached juniors for GCY in Greensboro and then for the TAC Titans after moving to the Raleigh area, including dryland strength training with the older kids and also the group lessons. She is familiar with TSA as she was head coach for the Kitts Creek neighborhood for a few summers. Currently, she works for Duke University but at home so she spend all day with 3 computer screens & 3 needy dogs so she is looking forward to being outside at the pool with the kids! Aquila started as coach of the Wahoos in summer 2025.
Hope is joining the Wellington Park Wahoos for her first season in 2026! She brings over 10 years of competitive swim practice and is currently swimming Division 3 at Hartwick College. She is also a former TAC Titan and has experience promoting inclusivity, teamwork, social interaction and confidence for students.
